Dr. Pollak has devoted his career to fostering solutions that personalize and improve care around the needs of the whole patient, reducing the clinical, financial and lifestyle risks of healthcare for individuals and organizations alike. He is an expert in the meaningful design & use of actionable, data-driven clinical information systems, and has a doctorate in bioinformatics. As current Managing Director of CreativeIntelligence International Limited, a London company, Dr. Pollak is strategic advisor to private and public sector clients internationally on health care IT product and market strategies; and on creating novel regional health care solutions that extend and integrate care from hospital to home.
In recent years, he has been advising senior British NHS executives (national, regional and local) on alternative strategies to the National Program for IT; and developed a pilot program to implement these across the south east England. The work addresses the need for providers, payers and patients alike to minimize the risks of healthcare delivery around the needs of the whole patient. In the 1990’s, Dr. Pollak founded and led MIQS, Inc., creating the definitive IT platform for managing complex chronic patient populations and, until recently, was a Senior Adjunct Advisor to the RAND Corporation. Dr. Pollak is a graduate of Bowdoin College in Maine, and an avid sailor.
