Gold Lab

The Gold Lab at the University of Colorado Boulder was established in 1971 by Dr. Larry Gold upon his arrival at the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. Starting with basic research on bacteria and bacteriophage, the lab shifted its focus to human disease following the invention of the SELEX process in 1989. The Gold Lab today focuses on the utilization of biological and information technology to improve healthcare.

About the GoldLab Symposium

The annual GoldLab Symposium brings together critical thinkers in bioscience, medicine, public policy, and the humanities to discuss complexities and barriers for improving health care in a straightforward, understandable, and approachable way. It helps to foster an informed community to create connections, collaborations, and relationships among presenters, participants, and the public; and it supports initiatives dedicated to solving the nation’s health care crisis.

GoldLab Foundation

The GoldLab Foundation supports projects presented at the GoldLab Symposium and keeps the conversations, issues, and community alive and active throughout the year.
