Evelyn Resh is a certified sexuality counselor, nurse-midwife, author and speaker. She frequently speaks and writes about sexual health and satisfaction and mother-daughter relationships. Her first book, “The Secret Lives of Teen Girls: What Your Mother Wouldn’t Talk About but Your Daughter Needs to Know“ was published by Hay House Publishers, 2009 and takes a distinctly sex-positive view of teenage girls and sex. She has been a contributing writer for www.Oprah.com and The Huffington Post and is the former Director of Sexuality Programming and Counseling for Canyon Ranch (Lenox, MA) and Miraval Resort (Tucson, AZ.) She’s currently working on her second book: “Women, Sex, Power and Pleasure: How a Pleasurable and Powerful Life will Give You the Sex You Want” (Hay House 2012.) She continues to practice as a nurse-midwife and sexuality counselor on a part-time basis.
Because of her dedication to “walking the talk” Evelyn lives a deeply sensual life in rural western Massachusetts with her partner of 18 years. She laughs as often and as heartily as possible but never at anyone’s expense – except maybe her own – and is a true believer in the value of a positive outlook.
