Paula Hoffman is a tenured professor of pharmacology in the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She received an A.B. from the University of Chicago, an M.S. from Yale University, and a Ph.D. from City University of New York, Mt. Sinai, and has previously held positions at the University of Illinois Medical Center, Chicago, and the Intramural Program of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, NIH. Her research focuses on the neurobiology of the actions and responses to alcohol, including studies of alcohol tolerance and dependence.
